There isn't (to my knowledge) and installer on MacOS which gives you the option
of not installing the MIBs (as there is on Windows). That is: the problem on
MacOS is not (does not appear to be) due to a choice on behalf of the user
whereas on Windows (based on my experience) the errors only come if:
a) you chose not to install the MIBs
b) your paths have non-ASCII chars in them (bug 1827)
