I took a snapshot of the repository on 1/22/2009. I have been working on some
updates to the decoders and created a package for Windows. When I install the
system on the same platform that I compiled the software, I can start Wireshark
with no issues. However if I install the package on another computer (not the
same hardware type, but same OS and SP release, I get the following error.

"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002). Click on OK to
terminate the application"

I have attempted to research if there is a dll that is causing this issue
without success. I noticed that the 1.0.5 release build is using Microsoft
Visual C++ 6.0 compiler which is the version of compiler I am using for my
private build. I have changed the config.nmake's MSVC_VARIANT to be set to
MSVC6 as document in the user's guide.

Also I will point out that I have been building from the repository for 1.5
years now for versions 0.99x without any issues. I haven't updated until this
January and encountered this situation.

Does anyone have any suggestions were the issue might be in my build or
computer configuration?
