Can anyone please provide an example of how to successfully get wireshark
compiled on 10.4.11?

Before I had 10.4.11 wireshark worked perfectly with the pre-compiled version.
Now the pre-compiled does not work as it is for 10.5. Compiling on my own does
not work because several pre-requisits seem to be missing.

I could compile pkg-configure and even "make install" it, but still wireshark's
configure complains that there is not a new enough pkg-configure.

I don't even dare to start compiling GTK+ on my own because I don't understand
more than half of the stuff written in wireshark's README for OS X.
