I reviewed the configure options:

libpcap remote capturing feature... yes
pcap_open... no
pcap_findalldevs_ex... no
pcap_createsrcstr... no
pcap_setsampling... no


It looks like that the libpcap version I'm using does not support pcap_open()
but pcap_open_live().

Is anybody can explain me what is the difference and where I can get a version
of libpcap that supports pcap_open().
