I've submitted a fix (SVN #22916) for the text2pcap -t option to use the
current date time fields for any of the fields which are unspecified. 

For the parse failure cases: I've changed the code back to use Jan 1,1970
00:00:00 GMT  as the default date/time. (Note that wireshark/tshark will
display this date/time as adjusted for the local timezone).

This should be OK given that an error message is now displayed for any
date/time parse failure.
