I've already implemented this (kind of) in the latest developer builds
(filesystem.c), but unfortunatly still not documented it (will work on it).
This was requested for http://portableapps.com/, to have Windows applications
on a USB stick.

There are two new command line options:

-P persconf:<path>
-P persdata:<path>

Where persconf is the personal configuration folder (preferences) and persdata
is the one initially opened by File/Open. It should work also on any Unix
flavour.

Is this what your looking for? Please give feedback if it works for you or not!

BTW: Out of interest, what's the purpose of this on a Unix platform?
