I've reviewed your patch and it looks good.  My only concern so far in testing
is that the -E separator= \t and \s don't work as displayed in Unix.  You need
to do \\t or \\s due to the way the shell handles the \ character.  I've run
out of time for the night, but if you or anyone else has an opinion on a better
idea to specify a tab or space let me know (perhaps the word tab or space?).

Also, your description of the patch sounds like it specifies which protocols to
expand in tree view (-V), am I just misunderstanding the purpose of this patch?
