When monitoring UDP 514 - SYSlog logs from IDS/IDP and routers there is stil
too limited space in the info field. Previous version severely truncated the
inmfo line and it has been extended, however as the info line of monitoring
IDS/IDP/Routers ALL contain lengthy info field - Please consider the
following.
In the attached sample I have removed ALL columns that I possibly can - to
detriment - and yet still often the output is truncated.
What is really needed is for the ability for the info field to wrap as many
times as is needed in order to fix this field in.
This will be a more substantial fix than just lengthening the info field on a
single line.We need a situation where it is possible for the first and defined
length columns to be present, however multiple lines are capable of being
occupied by the info field - see attached.
