Looks like I may have spoken too soon.  The Gentoo ebuild appears to turn off
SSP when compiling Wireshark.  So, this bug may be unrelated, or perhaps SSP
isn't actually being turned off when it should be.  I suggest that the next be
to determine whether SSP is actually turned off when compiling Wireshark.
