Have you looked at the patch at least? Reviewing this patch is a 15 minutes
task. I would be glad to receive an svn account to commit these changes.
Splitting the patch into smaller patches doesn't make sense as it creates more
work for everyone and is not practical as dumpcap has been compiled and tested
with the whole patch. 
The dbus functionality is only compiled and enabled "on demand" => no security
implication in default build and default configuration. 
dbus also resolves one problem of security, dumpcap can run as root and be
controlled by a normal user thru the dbus deamon, system administrator can
decide which users are allowed to capture based on dbus security policy. 
 Hence, dbus allow clean separation between the capturing task and analyzing
task.
