Often when I am viewing data from a packet, it is in some packed text format
like base64 or uuencode (or Unicode etc.) that I would like to decode to
analyze.

Would it be possible to add a "view as ..." menu item in the data pane right
clisk submenu that woould allow one to convert the bytes in ssuch a manner?

So for example, when I am looking at an email message that was base 64 encode
text, I can select it and view the text as ASCII or unicode or whatever (with a
set of choces).
Similary, I take a base 64 encode binary stream to save as a raw binary file of
appropriate type.
