Ethereal-users: Re: [Ethereal-users] Problem: Can't get listofinterfaces: PacketGetAdapterNames:
For some strange reason, my reply from yesterday probably got lost somewhere
(I cannot see it in the archive...).
In any case...
It's definitely a WinPcap issue. Can you please report a bug as described
here:
http://www.winpcap.org/bugs.htm
?
Please be sure to use WinPcap 4.0a1 for the bug report, as the log is much
more detailed.
Have a nice day

PacketGetAdapterNames: There are no more files. (18)
Temporary my problem has been solved by going back to WinPcap 3.0
I think the problem is really located in WinPcap and not in Ethereal as
I've the same problem when running WinPCap tools standalone.
Still I will try with Wireshark 0.99.2

First of all, you may try Wireshark 0.99.2, that's where the
development
continues.
I don't know it that'll fix your problems, however it should be the
first step to fix it :-)
Please report it on the Wireshark mailing lists, if it helped or not.
