Ethereal 0.10.12 with WinPcap 3.1 beta4

Ethereal 0.99.0

With WinPcap 3.1, WinPCap 3.1 beta4 WinPCap 4.0 alpha1

OS is Windows XP Pro.
First of all, you may try Wireshark 0.99.2, that's where the development continues.
I don't know it that'll fix your problems, however it should be the first step to fix it :-) 

Please report it on the Wireshark mailing lists, if it helped or not.
