Hi,
I just recently downloaded Ethereal as I was working on the
development of a TCP/IP analyser. Then I found out that Ethereal is
open source so I set about following the instructions in the Developer
Guide. I’ve completed installing all the tools using the Win32 /
Cygwin environment and when I run the “svn checkout” command to
download the source files I get the following errors:
svn: PROPFIND request failed on `ethereal/trunk`
svn : PROPFIND of `ethereal/trunk`: could not connect to server
(http://anonsvn.ethereal.com <http://anonsvn.ethereal.com/>)
I also tried using TortoiseSVN from the windows environment but got
the same errors. I’ve turned off the firewall on my computer but I am
on a fairly large network so I’d worry that this might affect it. I’m
using Windows XP and I’ve installed WinPcap.
As you mention your on a large (corporate?) network.
svn is usually not possible if you have internet access through a (e.g.
HTTP) proxy.
You may try the latest one from
