the easiest thing would be to run tethereal over ssh.
and then copy your capture back to your local machine

I 'll also add to this, It 's been doing this for four days (sending out 2Mbps traffic).

Thanks for any help!

Subject: [Ethereal-users] Ethereal on SSH

Hello,

I own a dedicated server and some application is sending out 2Mbps of traffic and I do not know what it is.

However, I' ve installed Ethereal, and I have read the documentation, but I have not figured out how to run ethereal on SSH. Is it possible? If so, how?

Thanks,
Jason

"Can I get you a drink?", the barman asked.
"I think not," Descartes replied... and instantly disappeared in a puff of smoke.
