Hi,
  Was just searching the libraries and discovered some already existed. I had not realised that an older version of ethereal was installed by default on my system and this was causing the conflict. With the removal of the older libraries in /usr/lib, it installed without problems. Thank-you for the help.

Not sure how to fix this, I couldn't get the svn version since my proxy won't allow it. Any help with the install would be great, thanks :)
