Hi!

I am new with ethereal and I tried to follow the communication between a
PC and a printer.

PC          10.10.0.1
Printer     10.10.0.2
My Notebook 10.10.0.3

We are all 3 connected to a Linksys 5port Switch.

Now with my notebook (10.10.0.3) I want to watch the traffic between the
PC (10.10.0.1) and the printer (10.10.0.2) when the PC is printing.

I started capture on my notebook in promiscuous mode with filter 'host
10.10.0.2' but I dont see any traffic. I tried the same with filter
'host 10.10.0.1' with same result.

Is this because I'm behind a switch?
