I have googled around, and tried to find the answer,
but have as yet been unsuccessful.

I need to examine some of the content of packets, and
Ethereal seems to not decode either gzip or gif89
content.

Is there a tool that can be used to decode each of
these packet types? I would suppose the tool would
take ascii packet data in, convert it to a zaip file
or a gif file.

If there's no tool, is there some procedure that can
be used, and if so, where could I find it? I don't
really want to develop this tool, I'm sure someone's
already done it.

Thanks for any assistance.

Jim
