I discovered  a networked printer on which Novell has not been turned off. The printer continued to broadcast SA-type packets every 30 or so seconds.

Subject: [Ethereal-users] IPX SA Unknown Packet Types

In the course of an unfiltered dump on my development host a lot of the packets that I receive are of type “IPX SA Unknown Packet Type”. I’m not using IPX so I suspect that these are actually undecoded packets.

What are they and how do I filter them out?

Thanks
