editcap.exe which comes as part of the ethereal distribution can split CAP files.

Is there any way to open a large file?  It crashes in various wonderful ways every time I try to open this file.  I can't cancel it during the load, because it doesn't leave what is loaded displayed.  Is there an easy way to split up a tcpdump file into smaller segments?
