Thanks for your info.
I am using this version:

"This is GNU tethereal 0.9.0, compiled with GLib 1.2.10, with libpcap 0.6, with libz 1.1.3, without SNMP."

So, I should upgrade it. Do you know how can I get the last version ?

Thanks a lot.

Javier.

It works for me on Solaris 7 with the current CVS version of Tethereal:

	tethereal -q -w capture_file

does *NOT* display the counter. (If you're not using "-w", it does not display the counter, regardless of whether you're using "-q" or not - doing so would get in the way of the display of the packets.)

The "-q" flag first appears in Tethereal 0.9.4; are you running 0.9.4 or later on Solaris (in which case if you specify "-q" it should just report an "illegal option" error), or are you running a pre-0.9.4 version (in which case you should get a modern version)?
