I'm using NT4.0 (sp6) with a 3com 3c905 100mbps NIC. Ethereal works just
fine.
My interface is "\Device\Packet_DAPassThru2"
Run tethereal with the -D flag. It will list all the interfaces that it was
able to open. (At the end, after all the SNMP error messages.) But these
should appear in the etheral drop-down list.

Subject: [Ethereal-users] Interface Entry
I am trying to capture packets using the Ethereal Network Analyzer for
Windows NT. However, I haven't found an input for the "Interface" entry
under the Capture Options that Ethereal will accept. What is the proper
format for this entry? I've tried the MAC Address, the IP Address, and
everything else I can think of. The error box also says that Ethereal
doesn't support capturing on PPP/WAN interfaces in Windows NT/2000. I'm
trying to capture packets off a 100 Mbps Ethernet Link from a 3Com NIC.
Will Ethereal capture these? Thx Jim Hawk
