Ethereal-users: [Ethereal-users] ctrl-c doesn't stop tethereal until the next captured packet

I fire up tethereal (0.9.0) and it starts capturing packets as usual.
But if I hit ctrl-c, it doesn't stop (i.e., return to a shell prompt)
until the next packet arrives.

Has anyone experienced this?

I'm using libpcap 0.6.2.
