Currently, the preferences only affect the "print current frame"
operation ("Print Packet" from the "File" menu); they don't affect the
generic "print" operation ("Print" from the "File" menu).

Arguably, they should.  I'll look at fixing that (although the question
then is whether they should affect the behavior *every* time the dialog
box pops up, or just affect it the *first* time it pops up, with all
subsequent dialog boxes starting out with the settings from the previous
time).
