?? libsnmp has nothing to do with ethereal, and should be in /usr/lib,
or /usr/local/lib.
in any case, did you add /usr/ethereal (or /usr/ethereal/lib)
to
/etc/ld.so.conf and run ldconfig -v to see if it was recognized ?
ron
No changes, i still get "gcc: /usr/local/lib/.libs/libsnmp.so: No such
file or directory"
And when i try ldconfig -v , i get :
"...
libqt-mt.so.2 => libqt-mt.so.2.2.4
/usr/ethereal/lib:
/usr/ethereal:
/usr/lib:
libguile.so.4 => libguile.so.4.0.0
..."
The problem is on a private LAN, i can't access to /usr/local so i want
(have) to install Ethereal on another folder (e.g. /usr/ethereal).
Could it be source of my problem ?
Thanks again for your support !
