To get on the ethereal-users mailing list, go to

	http://www.ethereal.com/lists/

and click on the "ethereal-users" link under "Subscriptions", then fill
out the form.

Which address is that? To send mail to the "ethereal-users" mailing
list, you mail to "ethereal-users@xxxxxxxxxxxx"; is there any place
where we give some other address?

It's a bug in Ethereal 0.8.16.

Download 0.8.17 and install it:

	Subject: [Ethereal-announce] Ethereal 0.8.17 Win32 Binaries
	Date: Thu, 12 Apr 2001 12:46:44 -0500

The Win32 binaries for Ethereal 0.8.17 are now available at:

	http://www.ethereal.com/distribution/win32/ethereal-setup-0.8.17.exe

The new installation executable contains the Ethereal programs and
	the GTK+ DLLs.

There are no longer separate "capture" and "non-capture"
versions of the binaries, as Ethereal can now detect the
presence of WinPcap 2.1 at run-time, and can thus act in either
	mode --- capture or non-capture.

If you don't wish to capture packets, the above executable is
all that you need to install. In order to capture packets, you
	need WinPcap 2.1, available at:

	http://netgroup-serv.polito.it/winpcap/

If you already have WinPcap 2.0 installed, you need to
un-install the old version before installing WinPcap 2.1.

	Enjoy!

(0.8.17 now uses an installer technology from the folks who brought you
"Casablanca" and Bugs Bunny :-)[*], so it's much easier to install than
were previous versions.
