For Ethereal? It's free. It's covered under the GNU General Public
License, version 2 (GPL). See http://www.ethereal.com for more
information, downloading, and anonymous CVS server access to the
development tree.
I don't think there are any people who might qualify as 'sales reps',
especially since nothing is for sale. It's yours for the downloading.
Please make sure you read the COPYING file in the distribution if you have
no prior experience with the GPL. If you do have experience with the GPL
then this is pretty much the same as all the others.
The software is distributed in both source and binary forms. If you would
like to change something in the program or perhaps add a new feature then
you are free to do so, as long as you follow the terms of the
GPL. However the people who develop Ethereal would no doubt like to see
any fixes or improvements which you develop, and the community of Ethereal
users would certainly appreciate your circulating such changes back into
the community.
