Ethereal-users: RE: [ethereal-users] Bus Error - Solaris 8, Ethereal 0.8.12. (Backtrace Included
I noticed on the Helix GNOME list that some people are having problems with
Helix GNOME on Solaris 8 (possibly Solaris 7 also, I forget) because Sun
released a bad patch for libICE (or whatever). It's a library for X that
has a bug in the new release by Sun that causes problems with Helix GNOME
(and I would guess any programs that rely on the GNOME/Gtk libraries).
A long shot, but it could be your problem...
