I am currently running Linux on Mandrake 7.1, and I had exactely the same
problem as Jaime (See below).
Ethereal doesn't start because of the font issue.
I have tried with many fonts that were indicated by the command "xlsfonts":
still does'nt work.
Like james I have tried with a binary and a source
distribution.
Could someone tell me what font I sould use, and where I can get it.
I have been looking on the web (for quite a long time) for the Lucidatypewriter
font. I couldn't figure where to get it.
I will appreciate some help as I am Stuck.
Thanks Folks,
François

Hi Jaime,
I'm not sure, with your comment about installation, if this is what you
are asking for, but I use
# ethereal -m
-adobe-helvetica-medium-r-normal--8-80-75-75-p-46-iso8859-1&
The font name must appear after the -m flag and must be one exactly
reported by xlsfonts.
Hope this helps.
