Hi.
The problem is simply that the packet driver *does not* support token ring
cards.
If you check at the WinPcap / WinDump main site, you'll find that.
We do not support token ring (at the moment) because:
- token ring market sharing is not so large, compared to Ethernet
- we do not have any other technology but ethernet in our university, so we
cannot test TR properly.
Other network technologies (like FDDI) are *maybe* supported; we inserted
the code into WinPcap but we did not test it.
