Hello,

First of all thank you for this wonderful tool.

We compiled and installed ethereal 0.7.9 on Sun Solaris 2.x (Sparc).

Here's an uname -a of our compile server:
SunOS washington 5.5 Generic_103093-03 sun4m sparc SUNW,SPARCstation-10

With all OS versions of Solaris 2.x we have the following problem:
We use some machines with 5 ethernet ports,
like le0/hme0 and qe0..3 or qfe0..3 (Sun Quad Ethernet Controller).

When we start ethereal on ethernet interface qe1..3 or qfe1..3,
ethereal creates the capture window wiht window title, but further on
we get no window update of the root window and of the capture window
of ethereal. Seams like ethereal is not working or does no X
activity.

On interface le0 or qe0 there's no problem.

Looks like there's a problem on using the third or higher interface
of Solaris.

Any idea of this problem ?

Here's an uname -a of a machine, where we installed and used ethereal:

SunOS eam_kr3 5.6 Generic_105181-12 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-5_10

and the ifconfig stuff:

eam_kr3(root)(1):/.ethereal # ifconfig -a
