I have just tried ethereal 0.7.5 (GTK+ 1.2.1, OpenBSD 2.5 i386).

It seems a very good program, but I have a problem: I was unable to
specify any filter into the "Capture Preferences" windows (the "start
capture" one).

I was able to make a "post" filtering using the filter control at the
bottom of the main window, but the same filters didn't worked as
capturing filters. 

Every time I specified a filter (even the simpler ones, copied from the
man page) a window appeared with the "Unable to parse filter string
(syntax error)." message!

Is it a fault of mine, or is it a problem of the program?
