If you have gtk 1.0.x in a different path than gtk 1.1.x, then perhaps you
can change your PATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variables.

Also, I have been working on getting ethereal to work under gtk 1.1.x. I
fixed some big bugs last night, but there's still some minor bugs in the
dialogue boxes.

At http://ethereal.zing.org/~gram/gtk.html you can download the patch. I
put both patches out there, one against ethereal-0.5.0, and one against the
current CVS tree.

Please give it a try, and if you have any bug fixes, feel free to send them
to me.
