Yes, you are right.
I want to separate the filed name (bold font) from field value (regular
font).
And I want to do it only in my protocol dissector (may be not all want
it).
Your way is interesting. Is it possible now or it needs development?

Just to avoid confusion an example: the IP header field name "Version" 
would be bold and the "4" not.

As I thing it's a good idea in general, but I fear this won't be easily 
possible.

There are a *lot* of fields where not only the fields value is generated

but also the fields name string from the dissector. Changing this would 
be a lot of effort and maybe not even possible everywhere.


What could be "easily" done is to use a different (background) color or 
formatting for the protocol items. This way it might be easier (and not 
so gray and monotone) to "visually" distinguish between the protocols 
and the normal items.

Well, better than nothing, anyway ...
