Solved by upgrading GTK/GLIB libraries, and re-building.

It seems to be crashing on:
    if (prefs.capture_device)
       gtk_entry_set_text(GTK_ENTRY(GTK_COMBO(if_cb)->entry),
           prefs.capture_device);
The object (if_cb) is not null, but does not contain much (the state, saved_state and name are NULL).
