Hello,

Do you really mean PROFIBUS and not PROFINET? PROFIBUS uses RS485 as medium. PROFINET uses Ethernet.
For PROFINET, Softing has developed support for PROFINET, see Profibus news letter at: http://www.profibus.com/newsandevents/profinews/index.html

Besr regards
Magnus

Subject: [Ethereal-dev] PROFIBUS Protocol

Dear,

I just discover Ethereal and I know that I can add a new protocol (the
PROFIBUS) into the software. But, first, I want to know if it doesn't exist
yet a version of Ethereal (free or comercial) which analyses PROFIBUS
signals. If not, I want to have some advices on how to add this new
protocol.

Thanks in advance
Cordialy
