It's not working from the command line either, at least for me.  Running
"svn diff" in a repository that's not up to date returns nothing, while
"svn diff -r HEAD" works as expected.

I'm in the process of upgrading to version 1.0.9 in the hopes that it
will magically fix things.  If not, we may have to back off to an older
version of the repository.

For those with commit access, please hold off on checking anything in
until this is resolved.
