Hello GTK Developers,

I hope that this is the correct list to post this, although it is an issue of the windows port of GTK, libintl and pango.

an ethereal user recently complained about a strange behaviour of Ethereal on Win2000. He had to put a cd into his cd-drive (drive letter "i:") before starting ethereal using GTK 2.2.4 . Otherwise ethereal would immediately exit with an error.

It turned out that intl.dll from gettext-0.13.1 from the GTK Win32 port homepage has a reference to i:\target\share\locale in it. Changing the drive letter using a hex editor solved the problem, but it would be better, if it hasn't contained any reference with a drive letter.

I also noticed that there are two files in the Win port of GTK 2.4.1 and pango 1.4.0 containing references to drive "I:" :

/etc/gtk-2.0/gdk-pixbuf.loaders
/etc/pango/pango.modules

However it seems that these files have already been fixed in Win port of GTK 2.2.4 and pango 1.2.5. They do not contain any drive letter.

Please cc to the ethereal-developer list as I am not subscribed to your list.

Regards,

Lars Roland
