I would like to add some custom printing/saving capablities to a plugin i have written

these capabilities should  include the ability  to print only some of the protocol layers

(print from tcp up not including ip,ethernet...), and also print the binary data only for the corresponding

layers.

can anyone think of a 'good' way of doing this (without making any ethereal code changes)
