In continuation with my last mail
I tried with many other captures each time capture shows random time
probably time zone calculation is messed up.
How can I show the packet time independent of time zone
ie at GMT +0.0

Hi list
I observed this while observing a capture in ethereal on win2000
and winNT . Data was captured on a
FreeBSD machines.
FreeBSD as well as winNT and Win2000 were on same timezone
ethereal was launched with -t a option
Now on FreeBSD and win2000 packet times were matching
On winNT they were not matching there was a difference of 3.0 hours
(this is probably specific to my
capture).
Now my question is
How exactly timezone info is calculated. and used to calculate time
(specific to -t a option)
If the ethereal routines are not able to find out time zone. Does any
default timezone is set (this is
probably happening in case of winNT)
best regards
Naveen
