That wakes up a candidate feature I proposed some time ago: replay a capture
in [t]ethereal by looking at the packet timestamps and use a time multiplier
to speed up/slow down the packets showing up.

I don't think this is a difficult feature to implement.

Any thoughts?

Olivier

If you are using UNIX or Linux, you can use tcpreplay.

I've captured a file with ethereal and I would like to play it back.
I'd like it to play the file back with the packets spaced at about the
same rate as they were recorded (timestamped). Is anyone aware of a
tool that can do this?
