Ethereal should perhaps just use "pcap_open_dead()" and
"pcap_compile()"; libpcap 0.5 had only "pcap_compile_nopcap()", but 0.6
introduced "pcap_open_dead()" - I don't know whether it's worth the
effort, at this point, to supply the helpful "it looks as if you
supplied a capture filter expression when you should have supplied a
display filter" hint for systems with an 0.5-vintage libpcap.
