I cleanly rebuilt Ethereal "0.10.0" as of about 07:30GMT today, disabled the
profile build option, and I now get the following numbers (built on cygwin,
running on WinXP):

With color filters: Read file / filter on "frame" / clear filter (seconds):
 - Official 0.9.16 release: 23 / 25 / 23
 - Unofficial "0.10.0" release: 11 / 10 / 10
 ==> Processing speed delta: x 2.1 / x 2.5 / x 2.3

Without color filters: Read file / filter on "frame" / clear filter
(seconds):
 - Official 0.9.16 release: 22 / 21 / 20
 - Unofficial "0.10.0" release: 7 / 8 / 6 --> three times as fast!
 ==> Processing speed delta: x 3.1 / x 2.6 / x 3.3
