There are problems with Ethereal 0.9.16 on WinNT4 with the screen set to 256 colours.

The three colour selection windows (colour filters, UI colours, TCP streams) look strange and behave weirdly. When I do Edit > Preferences > User Interface > Colors or Edit > Preferences > TCP Streams all Ethereal windows go through an exciting series of colour changes lasting many seconds and using 100% cpu time on a slowish machine. Touching any control restarts the light show. Edit colour filters is similar but lacks the light show.

Selected colours work if they're "hard", like R:G:B 1:0:0, most intermediate shades are displayed wrongly or not at all. The same applies to colour filters (the only colour feature I really use) saved with 0.9.15 (which worked fine on the same machine).

Everything works OK if I switch the screen to 65536 colours. The colour filters look the same as with 0.9.15.
