The "default (?)" value in the ASN.1 preferences for "ASN.1 type table file"
was default.tt.  When I run my version of ethereal.exe I get an error in a
command window
that complains about not finding the file.  Disabling the protocol does not
help.
Clearing the field in the preferences does not help.

And yet I cannot find the file in the prebuilt directories for ethereal?

OK, creating an empty default.tt works.
