Note that we do other numeric-to-name conversion that is quite quick; e.g. Ethernet address to string conversion (using /etc/ethers) which we should not turn off by default.
So here's a possibility:
1) Only DNS lookups turned off by default.
2) The '-n' option remains, to turn off any other name lookups (e.g. Ethernet lookups).
3) Add a new option ("-D"?) for enablind DNS lookups for IP addresses.
By the by, should we start moving to longer options for this? e.g. "--domain-lookup"?
