Hello,
I have a source directory under my home directory
where I build Ethereal after generating GIOP plugins.

Then, I do a make install and specify a different
prefix to make install for the installed stuff. 
I notice that it creates a lib
directory under the prefix where it dumps the plugins.

Yet, when I restart Ethereal, it doesn't appear to find
the plugins that were installed.

Is there a trick?
