Ethereal-dev: RE: [Ethereal-dev] Re: trying to build with giop plugin using Sol aris 2.7 and
For gtk and glib, I have version 1.2.10 installed for both
in /tools/misc/apps/. I also have libtool 1.4.2 installed.
Now do I need to add glib and gtk lib dirs to my path?
The specific error messages down below seem to indicate
a macro missing. Any help appreciated!
[apatnaik@stimpy ethereal-2002-08-01] gtk-config --version
1.2.10
[apatnaik@stimpy ethereal-2002-08-01] glib-config --version
1.2.10

Up to here, everything has been a warning only

It looks like you need to install the floowing package:
glib-devel, gtk-devel, libtool (I've got 1.4.2 installed)
Hmm, on the other hand, it doesn't really look like they are really missing.
Can you check whether/where the following files exist on your system:
gtk.m4, glib.m4, libtool.m4?
Ciao

I found out that "pro" means "instead of" (as in proconsul). Now I know
what proactive means.
