Does this mean that there will be absoluteley no support for other languages?
Are there any other ways to translate interface without gettext support?
Does an option of translatability (to potentially any language)
outweigh the trouble of having to use gettext?
Is it such a pain to install gettext?

Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to impose on anyone.
I am just probing the options of having translations of a great package
without harming anyone's interests.

By the way, isn't it possible to just include the source of gettext into
ethereal? Would this get rid of unwanted dependency? Would this insanely
increase the size of ethereal?
