Ethereal-dev: [Ethereal-dev] trying to compile fails (although it shouldn't...)

Hello guys!
I installed libpcap to /usr/lib (prefix) and the configure 
script does not
   a) find net/bpf.h
   b) find pcap.h
   c) link against libpcap: checking for pcap_open_live in -lpcap... no
   configure: error: Library libpcap not found.

I just installed libpcap some seconds ago, so there must be something wrong
with etherreal... I hacked the configure script and added -I /usr/lib/include
to the cpp calls with the headers, that work. But I couldn't fix the problem
with linking against it!

Any idea what to do ?
